Younger generation have high career expectations

New research suggests some members of the millennial generation have high expectations about how fast they will climb the career ladder.
Millennials are those born in and after 1980.
Researchers talked to over 23 thousand undergrads
between the ages of 18 to 27.
More than two-thirds of those polled expected to be promoted within the first 18 months in their first job.
Millennials expected an average starting salary for their first job to be just under 43 thousand dollars.

Simon is taking a co-op at Conestoga College and says no one just entering the work force should have such high expectations.
Another man, born in the 80’s, disagrees with those expectations while the economy is still in recovery mode.
