Dry spell could lead to voluntary conservation

The Grand River Conservation Authority says the dry spell we are under may lead to a call for voluntary water conservation.
GRCA spokesperson Dave Schultz says that in the six months since November, precipitation has been twenty-five percent below normal.
Officials say only four other years on record have been as dry as the past six months.
Schultz says that means it is becoming more important for people to comply with municipal bylaws on outdoor water use.
The region regulates water use from the end of May to September 30th.
