A new study finds that workplace morale improves during the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The survey, commissioned by OfficeTeam, interviewed 300 office managers and found about half felt the playoffs had a positive effect on office morale.
More importantly, the survey found 75 per cent of bosses say playoff pools do not hinder productivity.
And a third believe the playoff festivities actually boost output.
OfficeTeam executive director Robert Hosking says the playoffs are a great chance for managers to build camaraderie through sports bar lunches or dinners.
