Disgraced former cabinet minister Helena Guergis calls it completely ridiculous and an example of rumours gone amok.
In an e-mail to The Canadian Press, she says she’s shocked by a report suggesting the prime minister called in the Mounties and turfed her from caucus in connection with a drug matter.
C-T-V News reports a licensed investigator came across information related to the purchase and use of drugs and the potential threat of blackmail.
It was not clear whom the allegations involved.
