The Canadian dollar finished the Wednesday trading session at 100.08 cents U.S.

It marks the first time it has been there since May 2008.

The loonie has been getting a boost from the strength of our economy.

The U.S. dollar has also been driven downward in recent weeks by rising oil prices and continued economic instability south of the border.
