Kitchener man killed in 401 crash

A Kitchener man is dead following a fiery crash on the 401 last night.
OPP says a minivan – travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes – crashed head-on into a tractor trailer near Cedar Creek Road.
The 40-year-old driver of the mini-van was killed.
His name has not yet been released.
Police say the driver of the tractor trailer managed to escape his cab unharmed, even though it caught fire.
The crash happened just after 8:30 Sunday night and the westbound lanes did not re-open until this morning.
OPP are asking witnesses to contact them.
