Any hopes Kitchener still had of catching London for first place in the Midwest Division were dashed last night by a 5-2 loss in London. The Rangers now trail the Knights by 11 points with just five games to play.
Kitchener carried a 2-1 lead into the first intermission on goals by Jeff Skinner and Jeremy Morin. But that’s all the offense the team would muster as London scored three times in the second and once more in the third for the win. Former Ranger Nazem Kadri had a goal and an assist for London.
For Jeff Skinner, his goal last night was his 48th of the season. Kitchener entertains Erie tonight, one of two teams against which Skinner has scored a hat trick this season. Catch the game with Don and Gary on 570 News. Coverage gets underway at 7:00 p.m.
