Board wants input into school year

There’s a chance the next school year will start before Labour Day.

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is gathering feedback from parents and teachers in an on-line survey.

They’re being asked if they prefer a standard or modified calendar.

The modified school calendar could mean some school days before September 1st after June 30th.

Superintendent of Education, Bruce Rodrigues tells 570 News they must designate 194 school days between those two dates.

He says a decision should be made later this month or in early April.

Rodrigues says the public board will also be polling parents and teachers.

Today is the final day you can do the survey.
