Canada needs shootout to defeat Switzerland

There were plenty of nervous moments but Canada has defeated Switzerland 3-2 in a shootout in a hard-fought and much closer than anticipated Group ‘A’ encounter. Sidney Crosby scored the shootout winner and Martin Brodeur stopped Martin Pluss to secure the victory for Canada.
