If you know cupcakes you know Yvonne Zensner.
The Cake Box boss makes 14 different varieties everyday and thousands of cupcakes every week at her downtown Kitchener location.
Three years after opening her King Street location she has opened a new store in St. Jacobs.
She tells 570 News her company now has 13 employees.
Zensner says the stores are so busy they can hardly keep up. There are huge waiting lists — up to a year –for birthday and wedding cakes. And she says a third of their business comes from out town, from places like Toronto and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
She says despite the economy, they continue to use top quality ingredients and customize orders.
On Thursday February 25, The Cake Box is holding a fundraiser for Haiti titled, “Cupcakes for Haiti.” All proceeds will go to the Red Cross.
