Local business man volunteering at Olympics

A local business man is heading to the Vancouver Olympics as a volunteer.

Part owner and General Manager of Bustard Chrysler, Brent Ravelle, will be a host in event services at Canada Hockey Place. He tells 570 News he’ll get a chance to work with the fans and teams, and he’ll be there for 22 Olympic hockey games.

Ravelle says the part he’s looking forward to most is seeing Canada play the gold medal hockey game. He says he’s excited to wave the Canadian flag and know that he’s helped make someone else’s visit a special one.

Ravelle says he first found out he got the job about a month ago. He says he got the call in the afternoon and the rest of the day was a “write-off” because he was so excited and he was preparing to go.

He says he’ll be gone for two and a half weeks and he’s thankful to his family for letting him have the experience.
