UPDATE – Waterloo townhouse fire

Damage to two townhouses in Waterloo is 100 thousand dollars.
A fire broke out at 280 Westcourt Place around 12:30 this morning, sending residents running out into the -14 weather.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire was determined to be improper ignition of a fireplace.
No one was hurt.
The Red Cross and the University of Waterloo provided temporary accommodations for the residents.
