Arctic cold snap grips province

The winter we’ve been wondering about has arrived with a deep chill. Ontario is now in the grips of an arctic cold snap and Environment Canada warns it likely won’t let up until after the weekend.
Factor in the winds, and it will seem even colder.
570 News weather specialist John Wilson says today’s high will reach -11, but with the windchill it will feel more like – 20. Heading into the weekend Saturday will see a high of -9 and Sunday -6 with flurries.
Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says to make sure you dress in layers and have something on your head to keep warm.
On the Prairies, some cities have been registering highs of only minus 18 with lows checking in at a bone chilling minus 30.
