Higher fines for road violations

Fines for breaking the law on the road have doubled, tripled and in some cases quadrupled.
The fine for red light violations has increased to 325 dollars from $180, and to 480 dollars from 180 for community safety zone violations.
Drivers without seat belts or child seat violations will now be fined 240 dollars which is up from 110 dollars.
The most drastic fine increase is for failing to stop for an emergency vehicle which increased to $490 from $110.
