P-M’s outlook for 2010

Prime Minister Harper says while interest rates are bound to rise in coming months, he’s optimistic that 2010 will be a year of economic recovery.

He made the comments in a year-end interview with C-T-V News, most of which is to be broadcast next Saturday.

Harper was also asked about speculation he may prorogue Parliament over the Christmas break.

He would only say his government hasn’t made any decisions yet — that it’s making plans for a new spring session and will bring forward a new budget in March.
