Police investigating online hate-motivated incident

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hate-motivated incident in Kitchener.

According to police, they were notified Wednesday that a youth received several hate-motivated messages via socia media that were threatening in nature. Some of the messages also threatened physical violence.

No physical injuries were reported.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information about the incident to contact them at 519-570-9777, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
