Nine arrested in nine hours with impaired driving offences

Regional police say they have arrested nine drivers for impaired related offences within a nine hour period on Friday, March 17th.

In Cambridge, around 7:45 p.m. police arrested and charged a 53-year-old female with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration. 

In Waterloo, a 38-year-old Waterloo male was charged with refusal to comply with demand just before 11 p.m. in the area of University Avenue East and Philip Street. 

In Kitchener, a 19-year-old male was charged with operation while impaired and several open containers of alcohol were located within their vehicle. 

A total of 15 charges for impaired-related offences were laid between 6:30 p.m. March 17th and 3:30 a.m. March 18th.
