Convenience store employee assaulted during Cambridge robbery

Waterloo Regional Police are searching for a suspect after a convenience store robbery in Cambridge.

It happened just before 1 a.m. on Thursday in the area of Christopher Drive and Champlain Boulevard.

Police say a suspect entered the store and demanded money from the employee. The employee was allegedly assaulted, then the suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is female, approximately 5’5”, and was last seen wearing a scarf covering, a black long-sleeved sweater, and black pants.
