Cambridge man arrested in Guelph drug bust

In July of 2021, the Guelph Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit entered into a drug trafficking investigation involving a residence located in the west end of the City of Guelph.

On July 30, at 3:01 a.m., members from the Tactics & Rescue Unit, High Enforcement Action Team, K9 Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at the residence.

The search revealed $4,990 in Canadian currency and $45,400 worth of drugs including:
– 14.3 grams of fentanyl
– 47.15 grams of cocaine
– 449.06 grams of crystal methamphetamine
– 611.3 grams of illicit cannabis

The search also revealed:
– two prohibited weapons
– (allegedly) stolen credit cards
– (allegedly) stolen identity documents
– multiple digital scales and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking

As a result of the search, an adult male and an adult female were arrested.

A 34-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:
– three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
– possession of illicit cannabis
– 13 counts of possession of identity documents

A 36-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with:
– possession for the purpose of trafficking
– four counts of fail to comply with release order
– possession of a prohibited weapon
– possession of a weapon contrary to a court order

They were both transported to the Guelph Police Service station pending a bail hearing.
