You can meet Kitchener hockey star Loren Gabel Saturday

She's quickly becoming a household name in women's hockey.
Fans can meet and get an autograph from Kitchener's own Loren Gabel on Saturday afternoon in Waterloo.
In April, Gabel won a bronze medal with Team Canada at the women’s world hockey championship.
Gabel, who recently graduated from Clarkson University, was also presented with the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in March.
It's awarded annually to the the top women's player in NCAA Division I hockey.
Saturday's meet and greet will happen at Leap Realty, located at 131 Union Street East.
It's part of the Farwell4Hire campaign.
570 NEWS talk show host and voice of the Kitchener Rangers, Mike Farwell, will be out the entire month of May doing odd jobs to raise funds for research into cystic fibrosis.
His 2019 goal is $150,000 and Farwell told KitchenerToday.com on Friday he's currently around the $50,000 mark.
Farwell has a very personal connection to cystic fibrosis, as he lost two sisters to the disease.
