Rangers’ Meireles also wins CHL Player of the Week honours

Double honours for Greg Meireles of the Kitchener Rangers this week.

In addition to be named OHL 'On the Run' Player of the Week, the fourth year forward was named CHL Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Meireles scored two goals and added seven assists in three games.

He led the OHL in scoring last week and extended his personal point-streak to 17 straight games. He has 33 points in that stretch.

The 20-year-old from Ottawa was a first round pick of Kitchener in the 2015 OHL draft.

The Rangers play in Erie on Wednesday. 570 NEWS has the pre-game show at 6:35 p.m.
