Kitchener native named captain of Barrie Colts

Kitchener Minor Hockey product Jason Willms has been named the new captain of the Barrie Colts.

The reveal was made at Colts' picture day on Monday.

Willms has nine goals and 17 assists in 41 games this season.

The 19-year-old had a career year last season, scoring 27 goals and adding 32 helpers.

Willms replaces Justin Murray as captain. Murray was traded to the Saginaw Spirit in December.
