Cambridge native Jet Greaves is headed to the National Hockey League.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced they've added the 21-year-old goaltender to their roster on an emergency recall after placing goalie Daniil Tarasov on injured reserve.

Greaves has spent the entire 2022-2023 season with the Blue Jackets American Hockey League affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters.

In 15 games he's posted a 6-6-2 record with a 3.69 goal against average and a .885 save percentage.

Prior to beginning his professional career and signing a three-year entry level contract with the Blue Jackets on Feb. 20, 2022, Greaves was a member of the Ontario Hockey League's Barrie Colts where he played in 60 career games.

He also spent time with the Cambridge Winter Hawks of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Greaves played his minor hockey in Cambridge and was the Colts third round pick, 56th overall in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
