What’s open/closed for the Thanksgiving weekend

Most local businesses and government services are closed Thanksgiving Day Monday.

Among them: Waterloo Region’s big malls: Fairview Park, Conestoga and Cambridge Centre.

All outlets of The Beer Store are closed as are most LCBO outlets, although some locally-owned agency stores may be open.

Grand River Transit will operate on a holiday schedule on Monday, October 14.

There is regular garbage, blue box and green bin pick up on Monday. All items should be at the curb by 7 a.m.
