Waterloo’s Accelerator Centre makes global list

A big nod for Waterloo's Accelerator Centre.
At the World Incubation Summit in Qatar, it was recognized as one the world's top five private business accelerators.
The list of top business incubators and accelerators was put together by UBI Global, a Stockholm-based intelligence company.
“Following a rigorous data-driven approach, we assessed and benchmarked accelerator programs across the world. Our World Benchmark Study 2019-2020 is in tune with the multiple facets of the international incubation ecosystem and illustrates key challenges and opportunities faced by the participating programs,” said Holger Meyer, director of research at UBI Global, in a release.
The Accelerator Centre has worked with over 500 startups since it launched in 2006. Its CEO, Dr. Paul Salvini, called the ranking an incredible honour and accomplishment.
