Victoria Street bridge set to fully reopen Sunday night

Some good news for commuters in the City of Kitchener.

The Ministry of Transportation has confirmed to 570 NEWS that the Victoria Street bridge is set to re-open to traffic on the evening of October 28.

Victoria Street has been completely shut down between Edna and Bruce since late January of this year due to re-construction on the Highway 85 overpass.

MTO initially projected the closure would last until November, so Victoria will be reopening ahead of schedule.

There's no set time for when Victoria will reopen Sunday night, but the work is weather dependent.
