Uptown skating rink opens for season

The winter weather has arrived and there's good news for anyone looking to lace up and hit the ice. 

As of Monday, the skating rink in Uptown Waterloo officially opened to the public. 

It will now be available daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Keep in mind, you'll need to bring your own skates as there's no rentals on-site. 

If you live in Kitchener, the outdoor rink at Carl Zehr Square opened for the season on December 1.
