Affordable housing, homelessness among top issues for Kitchener residents: survey

By Lisa Drew

The City of Kitchener is going over results from a recent phone survey that will help form its 20-year community vision.

It's all part of its bigger strategic plan.

The city heard from over 1,000 residents and found that affordable housing, homelessness, roads and climate change all topped the list of most important issues in the city.

It also found that satisfaction with the city is high at 78 per cent.

The findings will be part of a bigger plan to engage the public.  The work will also include input from Compass Kitchener volunteers.
