The Salvation Army releases statement after client killed in targeted shooting in Kitchener

The Salvation Army has released a statement after a man was fatally shot outside their New Directions facility in Kitchener.
Police say 20-year-old Isaiah Macnab was killed in a targeted shooting Thursday morning at King Street and Pandora Avenue.
In a statement, The Salvation Army says Macnab was a client and they are deeply saddened by this tragedy.
The facility is also offering counselling and support to any clients or staff that may need it, and say local residents are free to reach out to them if they have questions or concerns.
Regional Police continue to search for two suspects and a white Mercedes seen fleeing the scene.
The Salvation Army is Canada's largest non-governmental provider of social services, and offers transitional and emergency housing.

We are deeply saddened by this tragedy, and our thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
The Salvation Army takes the safety and security of staff, clients and the broader community extremely seriously and we are working closely with the authorities throughout this investigation.
This tragic occurrence has greatly affected our community, and we are offering counselling and support to any clients or staff that may need it.
