Production temporarily suspended at Cambridge Toyota plant due to parts shortage

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

A parts shortage means a lot of workers are not at the Cambridge Toyota plant right now.

That shortage has temporarily halted production.

A spokesperson for the automaker tells 570 NEWS, they are keeping a close eye on the situation, and it's not clear when production will resume.

The plant was shutdown for enhanced cleaning on March 20, after several COVID-19 cases were detected in employees.

Following multiple extensions, production finally resumed on May 11.
