Looking for work? Home Hardware hiring 40 employees for warehouse

It today's economy, you usually don't see an employer looking for so many new workers.

But that is not the case at Home Hardware.

The retailer is looking for 40 material handlers to work out of its distribution centre in St. Jacobs.

A company spokesperson said they need to fill the positions due to retirements and future growth at Home Hardware.

“As one of the largest employers in the K-W region, we take pride in being a great place to work with benefits, staff discounts and an award winning culture.” Public Relations Manager, Jessica Kuepfer, told KitchenerToday.com.

“As Canada’s largest dealer-owned hardware, lumber, building materials, and furniture home improvement retailer, we serve almost 1,100 stores across the country. This requires a reliable team in our Distribution Centre to provide a smooth flow of merchandise from our centres to our stores.” added Kuepfer.

The job posting states the position pays between $17.57 and $21.36 an hour.

They are looking people who can perform strenuous physical activities including: walking, standing, bending and lifting.

You must also have excellent reading, writing and number skills.
