Local high school teacher receives award from Canadian Association of Physicists

A local educator is receiving recognition from the Canadian Association of Physicists.
Ashley McCarl-Palmer of Waterloo Collegiate Insitute has been named the recipient of the 2021 CAP Award for Excellence in Teaching High School/CEGEP Physics.
According to CAP, McCarl-Palmer is being recognized for her passion and dedication to teaching physics, as well as her commitment to collaborating with other teachers and her innovative teaching methods.
“I feel so lucky to be among the past winners who are some of the greats in physics teaching,” said McCarl-Palmer in a release.
