Get a smile, give a smile with Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign

Helping to support local charities gets a little sweeter, as the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign kicks off.

The Smile Cookie campaign, which started in 1996 to raise funds for Hamilton Hospital, has become a major event across Canada, with franchise owners supporting 550 charities nationwide.

In 2018, the Smile Cookie campaign raised $7.8 million across Canada.

This year, local Tim Hortons owners will support Nutrition for Learning in Cambridge, and KidsAbility in Kitchener and Waterloo area.

Time Hortons, along with restaurant owners in The Region, will help support 141 student nutrition programs in the community.

Besides committing to this program, restaurants have also promised to donate a dollar to local charities for every cookie purchase in Waterloo Region.

Residents can also help support Nutrition for Learning, by placing a pre-order for cookies here.

“There are several things that amaze me about all of the amazing support by local Tim Hortons owners.” says Brian Banks, Interim Executive Director of Nutrition for Learning.

“One is their generosity, and the other is their continued faith in our work to feed students at school.” says Banks, “We are so very grateful for their support through the Smile Cookie campaign.”

The Smile Cookie campaign runs from September 16th-22nd.
