Not what patrons of a popular Tim Horton's location in Kitchener were hoping for.
The store in the Glasgow Heights plaza at Fischer-Hallman Boulevard and University Avenue was the scene of an overnight fire Thursday.
The blaze itself caused damage to the side exit door and much of the side of the building itself.
Fire officials say it started in a garbage disposal, and the flames caused the glass on the side door to break.
The structure of the building looks to be in tact, but the location isn't expected to be open during regular hours as a result.
As of early Thursday morning, fire and police crews remained on scene.
