Construction underway for pedestrian crossing at Iron Horse Trail and Victoria

It was just under a year ago that a cyclist was hit by a car and was airlifted to hospital where the Iron Horse Trail crosses Victoria Street South.
Now, shovels have hit the ground where the two meet to build a crossing for pedestrians and cyclists.
That will take about two weeks to complete, and in the meantime, cyclists and pedestrians are asked to use the traffic lights to cross at West Avenue.
You may also find significant delays if you're driving in the area.
