Cambridge to open new fire station on Tuesday

Join Mayor Doug Craig and Cambridge City staff as they officially open the new Fire Station 6 with a traditional ceremony. 

The new 9,300 sq. ft. fire station will service the northern industrial and planned residential area of Cambridge with 20 new firefighters. The station will also provide secondary support for fires in the Hespeler and Preston areas as well as Highway 401 incidents. 

The building is LEED Silver certified, fully-accessible, and also features offices, a lounge, and a study room for online learning.

The ceremony will happen on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Fire Station 6.

It's located at 485 Boxwood Drive.
