Former MPP Michael Harris elected as regional councillor (update)

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Former Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Michael Harris is getting back into politics, this time as a regional councillor for Kitchener.

Harris finished third in the voting with 14 per cent of the vote.

He was an MPP from 2011 to 2018.

Harris says he's thankful to the voters of Kitchener for putting their faith in him to represent them.

“I've enjoyed doing so for the last seven plus years, at a different level. I think I can bring that experience to the regional council table.” he told Kitchener Today with Brian Bourke on 570 NEWS.

Tom Galloway, Elizabeth Clarke and Geoff Lorentz were all re-elected to represent Kitchener.
