Third worker at Toyota plant in Cambridge tests positive for COVID-19

A third person at the Toyota plant in Cambridge has tested positive for COVID-19.

That confirmation coming from a company spokesperson on Tuesday afternoon.

The auto maker was informed on Monday, that the worker tested positive on April 16.

The employee hasn't worked at the plant since March 14, and was not one of those identified as having had close contact with the employee who tested positive on March 18. 

That worker cannot return to the plant until being cleared by a doctor, as well as through Toyota's safety protocols.

Production is set to resume on May 4.
