Lyle Hallman Pool in Kitchener closed until Thursday

By Mark Pare

A small cluster of COVID-19 cases has prompted the City of Kitchener to close Lyle Hallman Pool.

The city said there were three cases reported in people who were recently at the facility.

No outbreak has been declared, but the city has chosen to close the building until Thursday voluntarily out of an abundance of caution.

Any high-risk contacts will be notified by public health directly, and anyone concerned should monitor for symptoms and get tested if symptoms appear.

The city said the confirmed cases were in the building between November 1 and 4.
