Liberal Raj Saini will be back for a second term representing the people of Kitchener Centre.
Saini was declared the winner by The Canadian Press on Monday night.
He won by picking up just over 36 per cent of the vote (20,000 votes).
Saini says his priorities heading back to Ottawa will include the environment and the economy.
“Cause at the end of the day we serve Canadians and I think that's what we want to do. We want to serve Canadians and what best approach to serve … I'm willing to work with anyone who wants to share that vision.” he told 570 NEWS.
He was first elected to represent the riding in 2015.
Green Party Candidate Mike Morrice was second with over 14,000 votes.
Conservative Stephen Woodworth was third with over 13,000 votes. Saini defeated Woodworth in the 2015 election.
