Murder charge laid in 1985 death of baby in Perth County

A first-degree murder charge has been laid into the death of a baby in 1985.
Perth County OPP said they charged 62-year-old Katherine Thompson this week, and the St. Marys woman is being held for a bail hearing.
This follows an investigation into the death of Meghan Thompson, who was 25 days old at the time of her death.
No other details were provided, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police said there is a publication ban in effect.
