By Erin Anderson

The investigation is ongoing after a residential fire in Guelph on Tuesday morning.

Officials confirmed it happened on Steffler Drive, just before 10:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported, and four residents and their pets got out safely.

However, one person was taken to hospital as a precaution for potential smoke inhalation.

Monty Armstrong, Deputy Fire Chief of Administration, said damage was mostly contained to the second floor.

There's no cost estimate currently available.
