Rangers lose heartbreaker to Petes on Family Day

Although their Eastern Conference road trip ended in heartbreak, the Kitchener Rangers return to The Aud with their heads held high after a shootout loss to the Peterborough Petes on Family Day.

The Blueshirts fell 3-2 after a shootout at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Sunday, with Petes forward Kieron Walton netting the winning goal.

The Rangers picked up five of a possible six points on the road, including wins against the Ottawa 67’s and the Kingston Frontenacs.

The point that the Rangers picked up on Sunday cemented their position in first place in the Western Conference.

An important game to come on Friday when the Rangers host the Windsor Spitfires at The Aud.
