Federal offender known to frequent Waterloo Region on the loose

A federal offender serving a just over two-year sentence is on the loose, and Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) believe he could be in Waterloo Region.
Evan Haney’s sentence covers several offences, including assault with a weapon, break and enter, and theft and fraud charges.
OPP said the 29-year-old has ties to Newfoundland but is also known to frequent Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Milton.
Haney is said to have numerous tattoos, including:
- Center neck – S 14
- Left neck – Toronto Maple Leafs logo
- Right Neck – Toronto Raptors logo
- Left and Right hand knuckles “self made” spelled out
- Left hand – MOA
- Inner Right forearm – “Mom 1968 – 2008”
- Left Forearm – DEXTER
He is described as Indigenous with brown hair, hazel/green eyes and wearing thick rimmed glasses with a green/blue strap.
Anyone with information about Haney’s whereabouts is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
