Human trafficking investigation leads to three local arrests

Three males have been arrested and charged with human trafficking within Waterloo Region.
Regional police say they allegedly human trafficked adult females in the area.
A year-long investigation, that started in April 2024, has concluded with the arrest of two 36-year-old males and a 50-year-old male.
The men face multiple offences including;
- Human Trafficking;
- Receiving Material Benefit;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000;
- Exercise Control, Direction or Influence;
- Advertise Sexual Services;
- Money Laundering; and
- Utter Death Threats.
