Snow expected across Waterloo Region as winter weather travel advisory looms

By Justin Koehler

A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for the afternoon and evening, with Environment Canada expecting anywhere from five to 10 centimetres of snow throughout Waterloo Region.

The forecast is calling for around two to four centimetres throughout the afternoon and another five centimetres expected to fall overnight.

Along with the snow, the temperatures are also expected to dip into the double digits, so make sure to bundle up and limit time outdoors if possible.

It’s a reminder to drive with caution as falling snow and blowing winds could cause possible white-out conditions across roads in the region. Expect other drivers to be moving a bit slower throughout the drive moving into Sunday.

Luckily, the snowfall is expected to taper off throughout Sunday morning, with cloudy skies expected into the afternoon.
