Police in Guelph have arrested a 19-year-old from Waterloo stemming from two robbery incidents, nearly two years ago.
Guelph police allege three males in a stolen vehicle tried to rob a business on Silvercreek Parkway in June of 2023.
According to police, the suspects walked toward the store with reusable shopping bags and were wearing gloves, masks, and sunglasses. Their plans were halted, however, because the front doors had been locked as a safety precaution.
Investigators determined the same stolen vehicle was then driven to a Brantford business where the same trio of suspects brandished weapons and stole a large quantity of prescription medication.
On Thursday, Guelph police arrested the 19-year-old male from Waterloo, who was only 17 at the time of the incidents.
He’s facing several robbery and weapons-related charges. A court date has been set for mid-February.
