Rainfall warning issued for Waterloo Region

You’ll want to have the umbrella nearby for any trips starting tonight.

Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for Waterloo Region, for possible precipitation amounts near 50 mm beginning later this afternoon or during the evening hour.

The weather agency warns those showers will become more widespread and potentially heavy at times tonight, bringing a risk of thunderstorms as well.

The wet weather is expected to continue into Wednesday morning, becoming more isolated as it tapers off.

Rainfall amounts are still said to be uncertain, with the potential for some areas to receive more than expected.
