Stabbing incident in Waterloo sends one male to hospital

Last night around 10:40 p.m. Waterloo Regional Police had reports of a male attempting to stab another male. Police say the two were known to each other.

It happened in the area of University Ave. E and Weber St. N. The victim was a 37-year-old male and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, a 32-year-old Kitchener male was charged with aggravated assault, uttering death threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused is in police custody waiting for a bail hearing.
