ION trains are running again after a crash Thursday morning prompted a brief service disruption through Kitchener.
Grand River Transit (GRT) announced around 11 a.m. that ION trains were not running between the Grand River Hospital and Mill Street stations.
GRT said the disruption was due to a collision.
In an email to CityNews 570, Waterloo Regional Police said the crash happened around 11 a.m. in the Duke Street and Queen Street area.
It involved a GRT bus and a van. Two people were taken to hospital, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
Police continue to investigate.
Shuttle buses were running in the interim during the ION service disruption.
GRT removed the disruption from its website before 1:30 p.m.
